Injection Foam Insulation
If you are looking to really get a tight seal on a specific area this just may be the best choice that you can make. The injection foam insulation process is something that is not only satisfying to watch because you are going to get to see how the foam expands and fills all of the cracks in a short time. It is also highly effective. It can work on existing walls. It is a great way to deal with hard to reach places. As we have said most of the times you actually get to see how it ends up hardening in real-time and covers everything up. There is really no way to fool anyone there.
When Can I Use Injection Foam Insulation? There really aren’t that many restrictions as to when we believe this type of foam or this way of applying foam is going to be better than spraying the foam directly. There are some differences between spray foam and injection foam. If we are honest about it, it seems that the lines have blurred so much at this point that they are basically one and the same. As we have said, there are some differences, but as far the original title of this paragraph goes it can virtually be used anywhere. What Are Those Differences? The differences are mostly in the installation process. Both spray foam and injection foam have basically the same properties. Although we just said that injection foam can be used anywhere it is mostly used to fill small areas or enclosed spaces. If we really think about it the difference is that we are going to be using injection foam to fill certain places. Depending on the type of building that we are working on we may just use this type of foam virtually everywhere. They Make A Powerful Combo You probably guessed this by now, but we are still going to mention it. A lot of times what we are going to end up doing is using both types of foam in the same structure. Usually, we are going to be injecting the foam in all of those hard to reach places while we are going to be spraying the foam virtually everywhere else. Since the components are basically the same we are going to be using the different types of foam depending on the area that we are going to need to cover. Which One Is Going To Cost More? This is going to depend on the type of spray foam that we are using. Injection foam is usually going to be an open-cell foam that is less expensive than typical closed-cell foam which we could be using to spray a specific area. If we had to give a specific answer to the question we could say that overall injection foam has the capability to be a bit less expensive. Although we don’t think that should change a person’s buying decision in the long run! |
